County No. 14 CARLOW
Town Borris
Pub The Green Drake
The designated driver demanded a stop in this hilly village for obvious reasons and was pleasantly surprised to discover that there is actually an Irish translation of ‘Boris’. It was quite a tricky place to find and many three point turns in the middle of the main road were employed.

Sadly, the pub lacked many of the aforementioned driver’s characteristics such as style, youth or basic hygiene. To be blunt, the place smelt of piss – one of the big disadvantages of the smoking ban. We finished off the second drink of the day and stepped out into the warm sunshine. Spirit in the camp was high.
