County No. 24 WESTMEATH
Town Glasson
Pub The Village Inn

The road from Galway led us towards Athlone at the very centre of Ireland. Just a few miles further was the picturesque village of Glasson which possesses the world's smallest police station.

The Village Inn was quite subterranean in location and completely deserted. Inspector Clouseau's twin brother served us a rather mediocre pint of Guinness and we retired to the back room where there was a pool table. Hon left it late to defeat Boris and we returned to the car refreshed but mildly disappointed.
