Another tip off was Red Ned’s in the Cathedral city. It was a decent bar with some fancy engraved tables, but the clientele was decidedly depressed looking – particularly the lonesome young fellow sporting a three foot tall St. Patrick’s Shamrock hat and razor blade scars on his arms. The mood of depression wasn't helped by the fact there was no music at all! Worringly, everyone in the bar looked like someone else we knew in Omagh so we put it down to inbreeding. After having our photo taken by a lookalike of our old Irish teacher ‘Freaky’ McNamee, we hit the road again. |
