The sun was splitting the stones as we pulled into Lanesborough's
sleepy main street and Clarke's was the target for pint number three
of the final day.
It
was only lunchtime and with good progress having been made, there
was an air of relaxation amongst the crew - probably for the first
time since the trip began. The darts and pool was good craic once
the bar girl found the light switch for the back room. The democratic
decision to order another round did not please Boris, who knew that
Roscommon would be a lengthy stop. Although we were on the home
straight, there were still many miles to cover.
After
spending an hour here, we got back on the bumpy road north.
